Abstract

Tfits study was intended to investigate the changes of liver cathepsins B; D; H and acid phosphatase activities after 70% (median and left lateral lobes) partial hepatectomy in rats. The activity of cathepsin B in the regenerating liver significantly decreased between the second and the third days after partial hepatectomy. However; the cathepsin I) and H activities in regenerating liver slightly de( reased between the second and the third days after operation. And the activity of total acid phosphatase in the regenerating liver showed a marked decrease from one; two and three days after operation.
