Abstract

An histologically distinct thymic carcinoma showing variegated histologic features of small cell undifferentia-ted-squamous cell carcinoma; adenocarcinoma; mucoepidermoid carcinoma and pure thymoma is described. While forming an heterogenous histologic patterns; this tumor is located in the anterior neck and lacked evidence of a primary tumor elsewhere; marking it as primary thymic neoplasm. So that it should be recognized as primary thymic carcinoma and suggests possibility of multipotential thymic stem cells differentiating toward several different cell types.
