Tolosa-Hunt Syndrome A case report

Abstract
Tolosa-Hunt Syndrome is a symptom complex with unilateral ophthalmoplegia associated with retroorbital pain, proptosis and IV, V_i VI, craniJ nsrves palsy due to nonspecific granulomatous inflammation in the superior orbital fissure or cavernous sinus. This syndrom is also called superior orbital fissure syndrome and is dramatic effective to steroid therapy. We present a 41 year old woman whose symptoms satisfied all the diagnostic criteria of the syndrome. Cerebral angiogram was negative, however brain CT scan showed globular enlarged soft tissue density in left superior orbital apex and slight enlargement of the left cavernous sinus after enhancement (Fig. 2).
